Where colour meets shape


Mario Colaps was born in Portici (Napoli) where he has lived and has based the centre of his 40 years long artistic activity.

Many of his artworks are located in public institutions, also at the national local level, for example, the Department of Maths of the University of Naples, where the memorial bust of the mathematical Renato Cacciopoli is placed, and the muncipal villa in Portici, which granted his monument for the reconciliation.

Some artworks are also present in national churches, which he donated various ways of the cross, baptismal fonts and other religious monuments to.

His artworks are now mainly located in private collections in Oxford, Vienna, Zurich, Paris, Caracas, Rio de Janerio, Washington.

His artistic production has benefited from national and international visibility, thanks to the numerous personal and collective art exhibitions he contributed to.

He has been Professor of Sculpture Arts National Institutes and has undergone international professional trainings like the one of Graphics in Urbin.
